This week is a bit different with the two exciting events are live streams you can watch! First up on Wednesday at 8:00pm in Japan there will be a live stream for an “Online Fan Meet-up.” It will be hosted by Hiroyuki Takei’s manga editor, and will have a fan-submitted Q&A session, a special video from Hiroyuki Takei, and an announcement corner. Will we find out when Shaman King: The Super Star manga will be returning? Maybe some more information on future collaborations, games, or events? We’ll have to tune in to find out! You’ll be able to set a reminder for the live stream and watch here.
On Saturday there is also an English-language panel for “Kodansha & comiXology Originals: Then, Now, Tomorrow” for Comic-Con@Home. Last year this is where Kodansha announced the English manga being licensed, so there is a possibility for some other announcements during this panel as well.
In terms of products coming out this week, there are 2 new sets of towels and plush toys that will be at arcades in Japan. The 6th 2-in-1 volume of the Shaman King manga will also be coming out in Argentina as well. Thursday will be the start of the Shaman King Exhibition in Izumo which will have 13 new goods for sale. An online “mail order” (pre-order) page will be opened at a later date. There are also a bunch of other collaboration events happening in the town at the same time.
Finally, the Shaman King: Faust8 – The Eternal Eliza will have it’s second chapter available on the Japanese app Magazine Pocket.
