June 30th holds a special day for the Shaman King series. Back in 1998, this is the day the first chapter was published in Weekly Shonen Jump! So now the series is 23 years old! So speaking of the manga series, there is a bunch of manga related releases coming out this week!

For the international manga releases we have representation from Italy, Mexico, Spain, and France for the main Shaman King series all getting manga volumes this week. France also gets the start of their Shaman King: The Super Star releases as well with volume 1.

Sticking in the world of manga, there are 2 new chapters of side stories for the Shaman King manga coming out this week. First on Friday is Nakayosi magazine, which will have a new chapter of Shaman King: & a garden. Then on Sunday, a brand new side story for Shaman King will begin for “Shaman King: Faust8 – The Eternal Eliza” in manga form. This is based on the light novel of the same name, and will be released digitally on the website/app service called “Magazine Pocket.” Our Monthly Shaman King Chapter Guide has been updated with these release dates.

The second anime ending theme for the ongoing Shaman King anime will also have its single debut on Thursday as well. The song is titled “Adieu” by Yui Horie, who also voices Iron Maiden Jeanne in both the 2001 and 2021 anime series. Depending on timezones it should be made available worldwide over the next 24 hour time period. Below is the Spotify playlist from the Japanese release (regional restrictions may apply):

The new ending theme will have its TV debut with the 14th episode airing this Thursday as well. A physical edition of the single will only be made available to Yui Horie’s fanclub, “Black Cat Union,” and will release on September 1st.
