As noted a couple days ago, some pre-orders for a new Shaman King figure of Yoh Asakura have been announced. The figure is being created by Banpresto and it is labeled as a “Prize Figure.” Prize Figures typically refer to the prizes that can be won from crane games in Japan, but can also be won from other games of chance such as the Ichibankuji raffle drawings. This figure has not been announced for release in Japan yet so the exact release method hasn’t been announced.
Along with the pre-order there are some additional pieces of information announced with it. The release date is expected to be the end of September. Typically these release dates are after the figure is released in Japan, so it will likely be released in July or August first. The MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) is $29.99 USD. The figure will be about 5.5 inches tall and the product code for the figure is 4983164177275.
RightStuf Anime also provides some additional details on this figure as well. First they are only accepting pre-orders until April 6th, 2021. Additionally it’s only being shipped within North America, which may be a licensing restriction as these could be prize winnings within Japan. Other retailers may have similar restrictions.
