The week that English-speaking fans have been waiting for a long time is finally here! Starting off this week on Tuesday is the release of the Omnibus Print edition for the original Shaman King manga! We got our hands on this omnibus volume last week and helped provide a good overview on what to expect in the volume. There are a ton of new improvements from the original Kodansha English digital version so consider picking this volume up too!

For Spanish-speaking fans there are also two new volumes coming out this week. Volume 5 of the Shaman King 2-in-1 print edition will be released on Wednesday in Mexico and volume 4 will be released in Argentina this week. The volume 4 release for Spain has been pushed back one week to release on the same day as the anime on April 1st. So look forward to that!

A huge release day for France in the world of Shaman King is this Friday with 3 new books coming out! The Shaman King Star Edition, which are the 2-in-1 volume editions, will come out in both print and digital editions for volume 7. Shaman King Flowers volume 5 also comes out in print and digital editions. Then to round it all out is the first international release of the Shaman King Faust 8 (The Eternal Eliza) light novel! This book has not been released outside of Japan so it’s very exciting to see that come out in more places. With all of these releases the publisher Kana has a special promotion for select retailers (while supplies last). If you purchase 2 or more Shaman King books you will receive a free pair of headphones. Below is their Tweet announcing the special promotion which contains a small image of the headphones:

And then finishing out this week there is a special live stream for AnimeJapan 2021 on the TV Tokyo Stage. This will be a free stream on YouTube, so you don’t need to purchase a digital ticket! The stream will last for 45 minutes, will be in Japanese (no subtitles), and will feature Yoh Asakura’s new voice actress Yōko Hikasa. The stream takes place at 14:00 (2:00pm) in Japan on the 27th. A link to the video stream can be found here (where you can set a reminder). The content of the stream is unknown, but it’s extremely likely that we will see some new scenes from the anime.

Last week Yōko Hikasa also provided an interview in the Japanese magazine “CUT” where she talks about her new role as the lead voice actress in the Shaman King (2021) anime. The magazine is only available in print editions and not available digitally.

There has been some more rumblings for news in the last couple of days, including a new TV ad that has been broadcast featuring scenes from the new Shaman King opening theme. Hopefully that will be officially released later this week.
