This week is the calm before the store that will be the end of this month. With the new anime series starting on April 1st in Japan, a bunch of countries wanted to make sure they got their releases out to stores just before that first episode drops. So while it looks light this week, it will pick up significantly soon. The big releases this week is all about Shaman King: Marcos! Volume 2 will be on sale which will have chapters 5 through 8. Then you can continue reading in Shonen Magazine Edge that will have Shaman King: Marcos chapter 9 in it as well! Shaman King: The Super Star is currently on break, and we should know if it will return next month. No English release date for volume 2 of Shaman King: Marcos has been announced yet.
Japan is also getting the new Kodansha print editions of Shaman King volumes 30, 31, and 32. Next month’s release of volumes 33 and 34 will be interesting too look forward to as well, since these Japanese print volumes have 2 cover designs. The top/main cover should match the digital release… but we don’t know what the cover design under those will be! Currently there is no scheduled release date for the print edition of volume 35, but we should hopefully find out more soon.
While it’s not a Shaman King related release, it’s important to note that the final print issue of Corocoro Aniki magazine releases on Monday March 15th. This will contain Hiroyuki Takei’s other on-going series Hyper Dash! Yonkuro. There is a possibility it may contain the final chapter for that series. If not, the magazine should give us some information on where the series will continue, or if it’s going on hiatus.
