Can you tell us about the appeal of this series?
All of the characters are attractive. Of them all, Yoh Asakura is the atypical protagonist in a battle story, as he is loose and has some bounce but always ready to rumble! He’s a character you can grow attached to with that balance.

Can you tell us about how you feel to play Pirica?
I was surprised and honored to be able to contribute to the Shaman King series loved for so many years. I hope to learn a lot by being surrounded by such wonderful experiences cast. Pirica is a hard-working girl and a strong sense of justice while still loving her big brother. I’d like to ask for your support as I will give to my brother!

After the announcement she also retweeted that she was joining the cast of the series from her personal twitter account:

While there is no set schedule for announcements related to the anime, there is an expectation that some additional news will be revealed next week. The monthly magazine Shonen Magazine Edge will be published in Japan on the 17th and it will feature a new chapter of Shaman King: The Super Star and have Shaman King on the cover of the issue. The last two times Shaman King: The Super Star has been on the cover there has been major anime news that was released at that same time.

A new Shaman King book has also been scheduled for release on April 15th in Japan. The book is called “SHAMAN KING アニメ化記念スペシャル超合本” or roughly translates to “Shaman King: A Special Combined Book to Commemorate the Anime Adaptation.” No other information is currently know about this book, but it is being published under the “Magazine Edge” label and Hiroyuki Takei is listed as the author. Additionally only 2 print volumes of the Shaman King manga, volumes 33 and 34 will be released in April. Typically 3 volumes would be released. It was previously noted that the final volume would contain an additional page of content to guide fans to the sequel series. Typically in the Shonen Magazine Edge issues have at least one ad page to promote upcoming print releases and more information may be available about this new book soon.
