On June 11th, via a tweet from a newly created Twitter account, was the announcement of a new Shaman King anime planned for release in April 2021. The tweet included the trailer below:
In the supplemental press release that followed, it further clarified that this adaptation plans to cover the entire 35-volume original manga series. A new production committee has been formed called “Shaman King Project” and has their new official website at: https://shamanking-project.com/
King Records hosted the video and are likely connected with the project. No animation studio or voice cast has been announced. The logo is show to the right, and was created by the same person who has worked on various other logos for the Shaman King series (such as The Super Star).
A promotional campaign for the anime will start on June 17th, 2020 in Japan. The upcoming Shonen Magazine Edge issue will feature the Shaman King anime announcement on the cover and the first 5 volumes of the Japanese manga will be sold in stores under the Kodansha label. Additional information about the brand new anime will be available from the official Twitter account in the future.
