Starting on November 23rd and running through December 4th, 2019 in Tokyo there will be a special “Shaman King Exhibition.” The event will later move to Osaka in January and finally Aomori in April/May. This event space will contain various exhibits along with a special gift shop with exclusive products.

Tickets and Opening Day

There are a couple types of tickets that can be purchased:

  1. Advance Ticket (2000 yen) – Valid only on November 23rd or 24th.
  2. Advance Ticket with Limited Goods (3500 yen) – Valid on November 23rd or 24th. Can pick up a Limited Good Totebag and Card File at the Gift Shop while supplies last. You receive a separate gift voucher with this purchase.
  3. Standard Day of Tickets (2300 yen) – Starts on November 25th through December 4th.
  4. Standard Day of Tickets with Limited Goods (3800 yen) – Starts on November 25th through December 4th. Can pick up a Limited Good Totebag and Card File at the Gift Shop while supplies last. You receive a separate gift voucher with this purchase.

Tickets can be purchased one of 3 ways:

  1. Via e+ ( https://eplus.jp/shamanking_ten/)
  2. Animate stores (in-person only)
  3. Animate Online Shop ( https://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/pn/pd/1697308/ ) – Requires tickets to be picked up at a Ticket Printing Venue (such as 7-11)

Some other notes about tickets…

  • They can not be replaced if lost/stolen
  • Only valid on the day they are assigned for
  • Re-entry into the venue is not possible
  • There is a limit to the number of people who can enter the venue for a day.
  • Only one ticket is needed if you are handicapped and need an assistant.

At the entry to the even you receive one of the following mini-cards. It’s random which one you will receive:

The venue for the Tokyo exhibit is the following address:

1-2, Oshiage 1-chome, Sumida-ku, Tokyo 5th floor, Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi

It is located on the 5th floor of the Tokyo Solamachi in the “Space 634”.

For opening day (Saturday November 23rd), due to the expected high number of visitors entry to the location will be the following:

  • Enter near the Soramizaka Plaza on the 1st floor at the Oshiage Station B3 exit.
This is the East-most entrance to the Solamachi plaza.
  • A line will form there what will have staff guide you to the entrance.
  • Additional admission tickets may be provided to help aid in congestion.
  • You may need to wait outdoors.
  • You can not stay at night or early in the morning waiting for it to open.
  • Please do not bring imitation/cosplay swords
  • The venue is not responsible for personal belongings or any special cosplays.

After the Grand Opening, you can go directly to the event venue located on the 5th floor. An English guide and map to the building can be found here. it is located in venue space #7 called “Space 634”.

Exhibit Areas

Once you’ve entered into the Exhibit space it is broken up into the following “areas.” The final area of the space is the gift shop. Once you’ve entered into the gift shop you will not be able to return to the rest of the exhibit. Additionally, you can only enter the gift shop through the main event and can not attend the space separately (ticket still required).

  3. Revive! Shaman Fight Special Move Exhibition: Overview of the weapons and Oversouls
  4. The 1995 Osorezan Promise: Overview of the Osorezan arc with original manga drawings and video
  5. Spirit Words: Exhibit of key lines and quotes from the series
  6. Rare! Line Drawing Illustration Display: Recording of Hiroyuki Takei drawing a never before seen art
  7. Vivid Color Original Art Display: See the final product up close from the video recording
  8. Next Stage – “The Super Star”: Overview of the next stage of the Shaman King manga
  9. Takei-sensei’s Taobao Museum: See the physical objects that inspired key items in the series, including Amidamaru’s Harusame
  10. Hell Tour Photo Spot: Take photos in scenarios and re-enactments found in the manga
  11. “Phantom Left” Raising Attraction: Aim for a high score like Anna with the punching bag machine!

Throughout the space there will be many original drawings that will be on display. Hiroyuki Takei’s editor has been posting some previews of images that might be on display. Some of these may NOT actually be on display, along with others that were not previewed.

Gift Shop / Souvenir Corner

Once you’ve completed the main portion of the venue, the final stop is the Gift Shop where a ton of exclusive and new merchandise is available to purchase.

If you spend more than 5000 yen at the Gift Shop (ticket admission price not included), you will receive one of these bags to hold your items (one per person):

There are 4 items that are available via a “Pre-Order Only” and can not be purchased in the store. It will be mailed separately and the pre-order must be placed and paid for in the Gift Shop. These items are:

  4. Music Box with Bromide

With the massive amount of items there are some additional rules related to what you can purchase:

  • Items that are set as “blind” purchases (you don’t know which design you are getting) can not be exchanged.
  • All products are limited, with no refunds for ticket costs.
  • No recording of the gift shop is allowed (video, photo, etc.)
  • There may be a separate line for the gift shop depending on number of people
  • Each non-blind product has a limit of up to 3 per person, per item.
    • Shirt/Hoodie sizes can be combined
  • Blind purchase items are limited to 5 at a time per person, per transaction.
  • There is no back-order, can only purchase items that are in stock that day. Items may be limited per day.
  • Purchase for resale of items is prohibited.
  • VISA, Mastercard, SAISON Card accepted for credit card payments. Debit cards, electronic money, and gift certificates can not be used. Cash also accepted.
  • If you leave the line for check-out you must line back up at the end.
  • No delivery services allowed.
  • No running in the gift shop

It may also be possible that there are other items that have not been announced. Future exhibits may also have a different set of items for sale.

Congratulatory Flowers

If you can’t attend the event in person, you can also choose to send some flowers in celebration! The flowers must be delivered on Friday November 22nd after 14:00 and be made to the “Shaman King Exhibition.” There is certain size restrictions listed on the website, and the Flower Shop/Courier will need to pick up the flower stand after the event is over on December 4th.
