As hinted at two days ago via Twitter, the Japanese mobile game “Boku & Dragons” has launched a Shaman King collaboration event within it’s game. The event starts immediately (September 3rd at 16:00) and runs until September 16th at 15:59. The game is free-to-play (with in-game transactions) but only available from the Japanese Android, iOS, AuPass, and Amazon Android stores and is completely in Japanese.
The game is described as the following by the developer studioking (from the previous Attack on Titan collaboration event in April 2018):
“BOKU & DRAGONS” is an easy to play smartphone RPG game with a quick start up time on screen, and one can enjoy the game without much effort. The players are conquer the “slime”; you are upgraded when you conquer the slime, and if you get the dragon, that dragon becomes a member of yours. The largest attraction of the game is the 3D action and the summons battle held 3 times a day. In this real-time cooperation battle, you can have a battle between 2 guilds of a maximum of 20 members vs 20 members, where you can feel the excitement of a cooperation battle as you can chat to formulate strategies and collaborate on battle techniques.
The official Press Release also contains some additional information about the collaboration event.
- Two limited gacha collaboration boxes have been added called the “Yoh BOX” and “SOF BOX” (For Spirit of Fire).
- Each time you gacha, you will receive a special collaboration bonus.
- When the contents of the collaboration box reaches 0 (empty), it will be reset/replenished.
- Collaboration boxes contain various levels of gems.
- You get a free draw for logging in each day (along with other items) and the collaboration gacha tickets can be used for either of the two boxes.
- There are special in-game missions that will be available.
- From the “Scout Rush”, after defeating the black dimension slimes, you are transported to the different dimension where you can unlock “Ryu of the Wooden Sword – Ryunosuke Umemiya”, obtain additional gacha tickets and other rewards. This mode only goes until September 7th, at 23:59 and lasts for 5 days and is the only method to unlocking Ryu.

Characters and items unlocked during the event will still be able to be used after the event has been concluded. The Shaman King characters can only be unlocked during this event.

For downloading the game, the following options are available (you may need a Japanese account to do so): Android, iOS, au ゲーム, and Amazon Android App Store.
Back in February another free-to-play mobile game, Pocolon Dungeon, also held a special crossover event with Shaman King characters.
