It’s been a while since we had a post… more will be coming soon. But I think it’s time for something different.

I’ve been collecting images of Shaman King things for many, many years. And I’ve gotten alot of weird ones in there. So from time to time I’ll dig some of that stuff out that has fallen off from the internet. Here’s today image, which I copied from the internet on Friday, ‎May ‎05, ‎2006.

Notice what’s odd about that? There is 33 volumes! Haha. I always thought that was funny. These are clearly Chinese bootlegs of the original Shaman King manga. But where did they get an extra volume of manga? Remember, this was LONG before Kang Zeng Bang.

They also took some liberties with the binding art. Granted, Viz also did the same with the English releases too. I kinda like how volume 14 and 26 both have the exact same image of Anna. And 10 and 21 have the same image of Horohoro, but scaled differently (at least they tried)!

This set of the manga was always one of my favorite editions. I really wish I could see what all the covers look like for this set of 33. They must have moved some chapters around (vol 20 looks kinda small). There are so many mysteries in this set. If anybody can find out more about this (bootleg) edition, let me know! Or maybe they will remain in mystery…
