Announced today, Mirco Magazine Publishing will now continue forward with publishing a new magazine called “Tezucomi” (or テヅコミ, short for Tezuka-Comic). The monthly magazine will launch on October 5th, 2018 and run for a complete series of 18 issues. Each magazine will feature a common theme, and has the full support from Tezuka Productions who manages the rights for Osamu Tezuka’s series.

The Tezuka Mix magazine was first announced on February 1st, 2018 with Hiroyuki Takei being brought on to create a manga series based around Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy series. Then in March,  with more information about the magazine being announced, it was also shown that Hiroyuki Takei’s  un-named Astro Boy manga would also be featured on the cover. However, by April 5th, the magazine series was cancelled before ever officially launching.

The new “Tezucomi” appears to be a continuation of what the Tezuka Mix magazine was planned to be. However it has not been announced if Hiroyuki Takei’s un-named Astro Boy manga will still be included in “Tezucomi” or not. The original preview drawing for this Astro Boy manga by Hiroyuki Takei is featured to the left. A new website for “Tezucomi” will launch by the end of the month, which will contain additional information about the magazine.
