The Japanese video streaming service, VideoPass, has recently updated with which movies and TV series will be added to it’s programming additions list for June 2018. Towards the bottom of the list is Shaman King (シャーマンキング)  with a June 19th release date as part of the “Unlimited Plan.” Episode count or promotional image isn’t listed, but the service tends to upload the entire series.

VideoPass is a TV and movie streaming service built exclusively for Japan by the Telecommunications company, KDDI. The service is similar to Netflix which offers unlimited viewing of a selection of programs. They also have a “pay-per-view” option similar to Amazon Video. The focus of the content is on original Japanese TV, Movies, and anime along with popular American movies and TV programs. Videopass is a video streaming service that is only accessible from within Japan.

Back in 2013, the Shaman King anime had re-runs on the Animax Channel in Japan and also had an limited-time stream on the NicoNico video service. Back in February Hiroyuki Takei also made some comments about how he turned down an offer to create a new anime series. In August, it will be 10 years since the anime had a reprint physical release (box sets 2 & 3 were released in October & December 2008). There are no current streaming services that have the Shaman King anime available. Currently there have been no other announcements about other digital services the anime may on or a re-release of the original anime series.
