Today, Bandai has officially announced a new Shaman King-inspired clothing line called “Patch Work Shop – Premium Bandai Branch” (パッチワークショップ プレミアムバンダイ支店). This announcement contains very little information from the Bandai Fashion news post found here. Though the label is called “Premium Bandai Branch” it’s not the name of an actual store. No further details were announced outside of the single promotional image. Additional information will be provided soon. In related news, it was also leaked that a collection of rubber PVC character straps will be sold in capsules in August of this year also from Bandai.
The Bandai Fashion line of clothing is targeted towards teenagers and adults and may have a slightly higher price tag. In the early 2000s with the Shaman King anime, TOMY had a small line of clothing products were produced, but it was sized for younger children. A smaller number of adult-sized shirts were printed and sold exclusively at the Shueisha-owned “Jump Shops” in Japan. When 4Kids had the international anime master license, they also had permission to sell clothing products (along with the copyrights listed on file) in the United States of America. The only products officially sold in America were three children’s Halloween costume designs, and two backpack designs, and a single lunchbox design.
