With the Shaman King 20th Anniversary occurring this year, and the new manga “The Super Star” coming out in 10 days, the first new line of Shaman King products will be starting!
Going on sale starting in early August, a series of rubber PVC character straps featuring Shaman King characters will be released. These will be sold in capsules/gashapon, and a total of 9 characters will be made. The characters are the following:
- Yoh Asakura & Amidamaru
- Anna Kyoyama with Zenki and Goki
- Tao Ren & Bason
- Horohoro & Kororo
- Chocolove McDonald & Mic
- Lyserg & Morphine
- Iron Maiden Jeanne & Shamash
- Hao & Spirit of Fire
- Hana Asakura & Mandarin
Each will be 60mm in height, be in full color, and have a black backing with a quote on it. The individual price will be 300yen a piece. Bandai is the manufacturer and has the product code 2441520. Some stores online may be selling pre-orders for the complete set.
The notification of these products came from a promotional booklet for stores in Japan to place orders for. For this reason, there is text purposefully placed on top of designs (which may not be final) and contains other information to help stores learn more about the Shaman King series.
While the Shaman King license was in Shueisha’s hands, TOMY was the manufacturer of a majority of the Shaman King products in Japan in the early 2000s. Bandai however did publish several Japanese videogames for the series, including the promotional Memory Card stands that were given out with them.
