With the new Kodansha-published Shaman King ebooks coming out soon, keeping track of the Japanese releases can be a bit tricky. It becomes even more difficult with different extras being in different volumes and the chapters have been renumbered starting with the Kang Zeng Bang (Perfect Edition) releases!
To help guide you through all of this we’ve created this helpful guide to see which chapters are in which volumes as compared to each release. We will be updating this page as new Kodansha eBooks are released.

About Each Release
Kodansha eBook – Officially released on May 1st, 2018 as the first edition released by Kodansha. This is the only release currently being published, and is only currently available digitally. It is expected to have a total of 35 volumes. This release also contains the manga chapter changes added from the Kang Zeng Bang release.
Original 32 – The first printing of the Shaman King manga by Shueisha. This release contains all of the original Weekly Shonen Jump published chapters. A total of 32 volumes was released.
Kang Zeng Bang – Originally marketed as the “perfect edition” was a higher priced, collectors edition with new extras, color pages, and the “true ending.” This includes additional manga chapters, changes to the chapter numbers, which results in a skewed chapter count. A total of 27 volumes were released.
Remix Edition – A limited-run, cheap print of the Kang Zeng Bang release that was only available at convenience stores for 2 week for each volume. This release contained the manga chapter changes from the Kang Zeng Bang release, but removed the extras and color pages. There was 2 printings of this release, which features different covers and advertisements within the volumes. A total of 16 volumes were released, covering the entire 300 chapters.
