With the April issue of Shonen Magazine Edge releasing on March 17th, many new details about upcoming Shaman King releases were announced.
April 17th:
May Issue of Shonen Magazine Edge – Shaman King New Chapter Prologue chapter is released
May 17th:
June Issue of Shonen Magazine Edge – Shaman King New Chapter First chapter is released
June 16th:
July Issue of Shonen Magazine Edge – Shaman King Side Story Series starts and more!!
Additionally the dates for the Kodansha eBooks of the original Shaman King series were announced:
May 1st: Shaman King volume 1-10
June 1st: Shaman King volumes 11-15
July 1st: Shaman King volumes 16-20
August 1st: Shaman King volumes 21-25
September 1st: Shaman King volumes 26-30
October 1st: Shaman King volumes 31-35
The covers for the first 10 volumes have also been released and are in the image below.
It is not clear if Shaman King New Chapter is the official title for the new series, or if it’s just a placeholder. No further details about the story have been announced.
Within this April issue, the 28th chapter of Nekogahara was released along with the results from the Shaman King 20th Anniversary Character Popularity Poll. The results of this poll would have an influence on the upcoming manga story (likely the “side story”) and an upcoming book novelization.
