On February 17th, the March issue of Shonen Magazine Edge was released in Japan which contained the 27th Nekogahara chapter and a chapter of the Shaman King manga reprinted. The February issue had the first Shaman King chapter and the March issue had chapter 171 “Osorezan Revoir IX (9)” (恐山ル・ヴォワール IX). This was the first chapter in volume 20 of the original Shaman King compiled volume print from Shueisha. The special reprint chapters are using the modifications from the original Kang Zeng Bang and Remix releases, with the logos updated to the new Shaman King logo for Kodansha.
In the April issue, releasing on March 17th, the final chapter of the original Shaman King series, chapter 300 called “the Last Words.” This is the first time the chapter has been published in a magazine, and it will contain it’s original color pages. Chapter 300 has only been printed in the original Kang Zeng Bang and Remix releases by Shueisha. Additionally, in the issue the results of the Character Poll from the official 20th Anniversary website will be announced.
There was no announcements on when the Kodansha comic ebook editions of the Shaman King manga will be released or any additional information about the upcoming new Shaman King series to be included in the magazine.
