Today, January 17th, the February issue of Shonen Magazine Edge was released in Japan, which contained a special reprint chapter of the first Shaman King manga chapter and featured Yoh on the cover. It was also announced in the issue that next month will also feature another reprint Shaman King chapter. They are jumping ahead to chapter 171 “Osorezan Revoir IX (9)” (恐山ル・ヴォワール IX) which will be in the March issue, on sale in Japan on February 17th in Shonen Magazine Edge with another chapter of Nekogahara. This was the first chapter in volume 20 of the original Shaman King compiled volume print from Shueisha. The special reprint chapters are using the modifications from the original Kang Zeng Bang and Remix releases, with the logos updated to the new Shaman King logo for Kodansha.
No further updates about the new Shaman King manga series that will be starting this spring in Shonen Magazine Edge. The special note page (which contains the same note as posted on the official website), says to check the website and future issues for additional information. The back cover of the magazine did contain an ad for the upcoming new ebook versions of the Shaman King compiled volumes that will be released by Kodansha.
