On July 30th, 2017 will begin the Summer edition of Wonder Festival (ワンダーフェスティバル) for 2017. This is also know as Wonderfest, Wonfes( ワンフェス). This is a special, twice-a–year convention that is based around promoting and selling of figures, typically from anime, manga, and comic series.
The event is split between the official figure manufacturers promoting their upcoming figures to be sold through normal outlets for the rest of the year and one-off “groups” that make their own custom figures for sale during the event. These one-off, fan-groups’ figures typically get a “look-the-other-way” in terms of copyright infringement for using licensed characters on this special day in this special location. Typically these figures are sold at high prices with a very limited quantity. And often these figures are promoted online via social media. A such, there has been a couple new figures (unofficial, fanmade) being advertised and some reprints from last year, which we have listed below. As more are posted online, we’ll have additional news posts. Sometimes we won’t see them until the day of the event!

Tao Ren (Age 9) from Shaman King by @sueruli
A brand new figure this event is Tao Ren from Shaman King! Specifically the design comes from Shaman King Zero, but the creator states that it’s still the Ren from the original Shaman King series. The unpainted kit will be on sale for 7000yen at booth 5-30-05.
Anna from Itako No Anna by mg5ji
New to this event is Anna from Hiroyuki Takei’s oneshot manga Itako No Anna! The figure, unpainted comes to about 26 centimeters in height.The figure will be on sale for 5000yen at booth 8-20-19 under the title “ししのここじし”. You can follow the limited development process on twitter.
Ashura, Sachi, Sennju (with Koma), & Jizō from Butsu Zone by mg5ji
Continuing from the last event, a set of Butsu Zone character figures are for sale! Each are around 7 centimeters in height. Ashura (far left) is the newest figure to complete the set which can be purchased individually for 2000yen. Sachi (2000yen), Sennju (3000yen), and Jizō (2000yen) are reprints from last event and will be sold at booth 8-20-19 under the title “ししのここじし”. There may be a lower price if you purchase all 4 figures together.
Faust VIII and Eliza from Shaman King by flalamingo
After finishing Team the Ren, Flalamingo now moves onto Team Funbari Onsen, starting with Faust VIII and his wife Eliza (and Frankensteiny)! Like the other figures, these come with an insane level of details and will be sold as a pair (unpainted) at booth 4-12-12 under the name “flalalamingo”. Horohoro from Shaman King

From the last several Wonder Festivals, Horohoro returns from 「flalalamingo」 at this event! This figure will feature Horohoro with a removable Kororo figure for his shoulder. The colored version is only the display model and the figure on sale is unpainted for 8000yen. This figure will be on sale at booth 4-12-12 under the name “flalalamingo”. Chocolove from Shaman King by flalamingo
From the last several Wonder Festivals, Chocolove also makes his return! This figure will be similar to Horohoro, with a removable Mic spirit (which will be partially translucent in the final version). The colored version is only the display model and the figure on sale is unpainted for 8000yen. This figure will be on sale at 4-12-12 under the name “flalalamingo”. Horohoro from Shaman King by Nanbertakahi
Returning from the previous event, Nanbertakahi presents Horohoro! Similar to his previous figures, it’s a 1/8th scale garage kit that will most likely sell for 9000 yen at the table 4-09-08 under the name of 「万魔堂」. The colored version is only the display model and the figure on sale is unpainted. You can find additional images on Nanbertakhi’s fixia page.
Matamune from Shaman King by Nanbertakahi
Returning from the last several Wonder Festivals, the Matamune figure returns. This is a 1/8th scale garage kit that will sell for 7000 yen at the table 6-10-14 under the name of 「万魔堂」. The colored version is only the display model and the figure on sale is unpainted. Additionally, his blue coat can also be removed. You can find additional images on Nanbertakhi’s fixia page.
Previously this figure paired with Yoh Asakura and Anna Kyoyama from Shaman King. However these larger figures will not be for sale at this event (may be display only).
Ohachiyo from Shaman King by Nanbertakahi
Continuing from Summer 2016, Ohachiyo (乙破千代) returns as designed by Nanbertakahi! It is a 1/12 scale and will be priced at 4000yen. You can find additional images on Nanbertakhi’s fixia page or follow on Twitter. Other accessories are for display only.
Matamune (in bath) from Shaman King by Nanbertakahi
Returning from previous events, the even smaller scale Matamune in a bath returns! This design is featured from the Shaman King Fanbook as a flip book animation. These will sell for 4000yen. Lucifer (Oversoul) from Shaman King by mamushi32
Returning from last event, the massive figure of Lucifer, Luchist’s oversoul returns! Lucifer has wings are a black translucent material and can be bought separately at an additional cost. The figure (without wings or base) can be purchased at same table as last event, 7-03-03, under the title “model2” for 20,000yen. You can follow the development process on twitter.

Yes, there is another Lucifer design in the works… this time by Oden_shop! No final colored version has been completed yet, and may be display only (for sale in the Winter). This figure will be at booth 6-12-05.
Oden_shop previously sold Horohoro and Damuko figures but are not at this event.
Michael (Oversoul) from Shaman King by skill1000
Yet another new figure comes to this Wonder Festival! This time it’s a new Michael figure in it’s Oversoul form. contains some colored plastic parts and will be on sale for 20,000yen at booth 4-08-02 under the title of “国分寺美食倶楽部”.
Marco from Shaman King by Okirakudo
Returning from last summer’s event will be a Marco figure! A full colored version will be on display, but “several” unpainted versions can be purchased for 5000yen each. The table is located at 5-29-02 with the name of おきらく堂. You can follow the development process from last year on twitter or check out his fixia page or personal website.
Iron Maiden from Shaman Kin

Returning from previous events, a collection of unique Iron Maidens have been made by unagi88. Each Iron Maiden has it’s own finish, and some are solid while others can be opened (with magnet locks, hinges and screws). The price for the kit will be 3000yen. They can be purchased at table 8-20-12. You can follow the development process on twitter or from his website.
Earth Mover (EM) from Jumbor by Smile Studio
For something a little bit different… the production company “Smile Studio” had a booth at this year’s event under the name of PPOINANIKA at 8-15-04. Smile Studio has previously assisted with Hiroyuki Takei on a variety of Shaman King Flowers and Jumbor products, such as the manga covers designs and layout. At this event they were selling copies of “PPOINANIKA How to Build Earthmover” an 8 page instruction booklet for 500 yen on how to make Earth Movers out of Legos. Lego pieces not included. The book was originally released on December 28th, 2012 in collaboration with Smile Studio. To promote the booklet, they had the Earth Mover on display. Photo from metretsk on Twitter.
Vice from Karakuri Dôji Ultimo by YAMABIKO320

Death Pinch and Shovelius EMs from Jumbor by YAMABIKO320
Returning from last year, all two of Yamabiko320’s three Jumbor figures will be on sale. They will be sold at table 7-10-10 under the name of「YAMABIKO320」. You can see more images from either of his Twitter accounts (TTY and Yamabiko320) or his website.
Death Pinch (Nipper’s Custom, 190mm, 86 pieces with decals) will be on sale for 15,000 yen.
Shovelius (240mm, 96 pieces with decals) will be on sale for 25,000 yen.
Additionally, Death Pinch and Shovelius will come with their drivers (to scale) as well.
Additionally, these 2 figures plus Destrich will be sold at another event called C3 TOKYO on August 28th, 2017.
