Previously, the Shaman King (2001) anime was released in Germany on a variety of DVD sets featuring the German language dub between 2005 and 2008. Prior to this upcoming release on Blu-ray in Germany, it was only available on Blu-ray in North America with Discotek’s 2 releases; one featuring the original Japanese audio with English subtitles, and the other featuring the English audio dub. Both of these English releases maintain the original 4:3 aspect ratio for the video presentation. The original 2001 Shaman King anime has not been released on Blu-ray in Japan. The 2021 remake of the Shaman King anime has only released on Blu-ray in Japan.
