As previously announced, the Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle game will be shutting down on July 12th at 15:00. The developers are currently planning on releasing a update to the game at that time to convert the game into an offline mode. This updated version will allow fans to view the original content for the game in a limited capacity. With the June 12th in-game announcement, the developers have provided some more information on what that version will look like.

The “Story” function in the game will remain intact. Any requirements for viewing story elements have been removed so you no longer need to complete the quests in order to unlock.

Additionally Story chapters 12 through 15 will be added. The Story mode had only been available through chapter 11, so this will now provide many new scenes for the in-game’s original story.

All Characters and Vision Cards will be distributed to all players in this offline mode. All characters will be set to the maximum level and no training/leveling functions within the game will be available. You will still be able to view the 3D models as well as all of the stories within the game. Additionally you can still set your home screen character within the game.

A limited battle mode will be added to the game. This mode is used to see the animations that are limited to battles, including characters that were used as previous Raid Bosses (Amidamaru, Lee Pyron, etc.) The battles will be very simple and there are no rewards for completing them.

If you had unspent Paid Tamas in the game, you will be able to get a refund. An online web form will be released where you can submit your request. You will need to provide the developers with your User Code, so you should not delete the game until your refund has been processed. Additionally you will need to provide a Japanese bank account information as refunds will not be sent back via the Google Play Store or the App Store. You must submit your request for a refund by Thursday August 31st at 15:00.

If you have in-game items that you have paid for but did not completely use before July 12th, you will be refunded 100 tamas for each day of those unused items.

The offline/archival version of the game will be available on the app store until at least December 31, 2023. If there are various OS updates or app store changes, there may be minor updates until the next of 2023. When starting the game a required batch download of the game data will be required, which contains most of the game content.

The following game modes will not be available in the offline version:

  • Gacha
  • Training
  • Guesthouse En
  • Shaman Fight
  • Quests

The offline version of the game is still in development and the information above is subject to change.
