Announced on May 15, 2023, the Japanese Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle mobile game will be coming to a close on July 12, 2023. The following timeline has been provided, and is subject to change:

The development team deeply apologizes for this news. They stated that since the launch of the game, they had the goals of adding new events and content. However they came to the conclusion that it would be difficult to improve the game in a way that will satisfy themselves and the players. With this, they came to result of ending the game service. The developers also state that they express their sincere gratitude of the support of the players throughout the game’s run.
Additional updates are continuing in the game until it’s closure. A new Tamao character, based on the design contest winner, will be added to the game in early June. This will have a new full 3D model and attacks. The design concept is shown below.
They are also in consideration of making an offline mode for the game with limited functions. This would allow fans to enjoy the illustrations, 3D models, and story after the game has ended. More details on this offline mode will be announced at a later time.
