As part of the on-going monthly news updates, the Director of the Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle game has posted another sizable update on the official Japanese website. The full update, in Japanese, can be found here. Below is a highlight of the updates made, re-ordered into chronological order.
Funbari Chronicle Version 1.5 will be released on July 26th as originally planned. This will include several new features.
“Anna’s Training Event” will now be an always-available feature that has been completely rebuilt. By defeating the new Anna Boss, you will earn a new item called “motivation”. You can spend these motivation points on one of four different activities (that line up with your specific-shamans attacks). Using this has a random chance of success or failure, but it doesn’t use up your leveling materials. Similar to the Yomi Cave, this training will be limited to 2 characters at the start.
The max Attack level now 80, which was an increase from the previous 60.
[Sea Breeze Duo] Iron Maiden Jeanne will be a new limited-time gacha character starting on July 31st. She will have an attack which gives 2 “Water Drops” to each enemy and will give more damage for each drop added. These are the same Water Drops as the Hanagumi had during the recent event, so you can combo them together. She will also have a high “Defense Down” attack as well. They went through 11 different designs before deciding on this one.
New Story Event is called “Rain Or Shine, There Will Be Fireworks” and will start on July 31st at 15:00. This story will focus around Mirishira as she reflects on a memory she had spending time with her mother. Her spirit, Rock, then becomes worried about her and employs Yoh, Koel, and Manta to help cheer her up.
With the new Story Event “Rain Or Shine, There Will Be Fireworks” there will be a new original Vision Card featuring Koel and Mirishira in yukatas.
[Eyes of a Child] Yoh Asakura will be added on July 31st with the new Story Event Gacha Part 1. He can only attack one character at a time, but gets bonuses for lowered stats on the enemies.
[Reflection of the Moon On Water] Anna Kyoyama will be added on August 8th with the new Story Event Gacha Part 2. She is a support character which can lower the stats of multiple enemies with one attack.
New features still in development include “Raid Battles you can play with your friends”, “New types of events”, and “New Features”. They are also looking forward to the answers in the recent survey for new ideas.
They are currently hiring more people for the development team. This includes additional script writers for the story and events.
