As part of the Izumo Shaman King tourism campaign for January 2022 there are a variety of limited-time Shaman King inspired food & drink items that can be purchased at local stores. The campaign runs from January 1st though January 31st in Izumo, Japan. Due to the increase spread of COVID-19 in the region, some of these stores may have more limited hours and service. Drinkable Cheesecake – Yoh Asakura Oversoul Flavor

Description: A popular drink from the store. The orange flavor was inspired by Shaman King and is make with the orange sauce and orange peel. The drink is served with an original designed cup sleeve.
Shaman King Character Drink

Location: Maru Cafe at the Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo
Description: 8 different drinks inspired by the characters visiting Izumo. Visitors can also learn about Izumo’s history at the museum. Each drink comes with a napkin featuring the character and cookies made with sea salt from the Shimane Peninsula.
Ryu’s Hanki Meat!! Born to be wild

Description: Pork with a bold bone to show off the wild masculinity of Wooden Sword Ryu. It is a powerful menu item that can be enjoyed alone or with a group. A paper napkin with the original stamp marked on it is included.

Description: Made at the long-established Japanese confectionary shop in Izumo City, printed with the new illustration on top. It is served with green tea at two locations.
Yoh Asakura’s Soul Food “Dash Curry Udon”

Location: Izumoya in front of the Taisha Shrine Gate
Description: A taste of Yoh’s favorite dish, Curry Udon with the slippery texture that Yoh likes. The soup is made with an original soup stock with a refreshing aftertaste. A special agou-dashi powder on the seaweed shows the Asakura family crest. The dish is served with “Agono-yaki,” the soul food of Izumo (contains flying fish).

Ren’s Slightly Hardened Milk Jelly & Peach Buns

Description: The slightly hardened milk jelly is made from the milk he consumes in large amounted every day (slightly burnt and not too sweet) is over-saturated with 100% original peach jelly that inspired the name of his beloved horse. Part of the Tao emblem along with the pointy chocolate symbolized Ren in the dish. The beneath hard appearance is the semi-smooth chocolate just like the character.

Description: A local winery offering a special 100% Grape Juice, only for this collaboration. The two flavors are inspired by the eternal love between Faust and Eliza for this match made in Izumo. The juice will be served in a cup with an original label design.
Lyserg’s New Year Experience with Amazake at the Temple

Description: A non-alcoholic drink unique to templates made with Amazake, that is easy for children to drink at the temple. The Green jelly and marshmallow in the shape of a diamond represent the color of Lyserg and Morphine riding the pendulum.
