This week in Shaman King doesn’t have a lot of new releases, but the ones that are happening are big!
Starting on Tuesday, Shaman King Omnibus #6 will be released in its English print edition for North America. This combines volumes 16, 17, and 18 together in a single book. It features updated translations and lettering from the earlier digital releases from Kodansha.
Next on Wednesday the Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle game releases in Japan! This is the brand new Japanese-language mobile RPG game that is based around the Shaman King series, but features some new plotlines. The exact time the game will be released hasn’t been announced, and could vary by platform. We’ve recently published an article to get you ready for this launch, including the Pre-Release Missions which need to be completed by December 7th at 11:59pm (Japan Time) if you want some free in-game items. The game may also have some additional in-game events, so be sure to check out our Twitter account (@ShamanKingNews) for the latest updates. Once the game launches there will be a free daily gacha pulls for every player if they log in each day between December 8th and December 14th.
The second 2-in-1 print volume of the Shaman King: Complete Edition will also release in Indonesia on Wednesday as well.
On Thursday, in addition to the standard broadcast of the Shaman King anime in Japan with episode 35, the full second season of the anime will be released internationally on Netflix! This is expected to cover episodes 14 through 27 and includes English audio dub and English subtitles along with multiple other languages.
Rounding out the week, the side story manga, Faust 8 – The Eternal Eliza will have the third part of chapter 5 released digitally on Magazine Pocket in Japan. Yoh and Anna will also be featured cosplay guests at the “OtaCos” (Okazaki City Cosplay Weekend) at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00. Non-contact photos (no hugging, handshakes, etc.) can be taken with the characters during the event.
