This week in Shaman King started off with a very busy Sunday! First the Compilation Movie for the Shaman King Osorezan Revoir arc premiered in Japanese theaters. This movie combined Episodes 30 through 33 into a special movie version, followed by some live comments from the voice cast. No word on if this movie version will have its own release outside of this theatrical premiere, or if the recording from the voice cast will be shown elsewhere.
Next on Sunday in New York City, Kodansha USA held it’s Industry Panel at Anime NYC. The Live Stream had some initial technical issues, and the full version may be posted at a later time. During this presentation they announced the Shaman King: & a Garden will be getting an English digital release. Volume 1 of the manga will come out in English on December 14th worldwide (outside of Japan).
On Wednesday the Japanese release of Shaman King Blu-Ray Boxset 2 will be released. The contents of the box will be similar to the first Box set and will cover the second season of the anime. Notably the biggest new extra in the box is the new Drama CD tentatively called “Funbari Onsen Pure Love Story.” It features the voices of Yoh, Anna, Manta, Ryu, Ren, Horohoro, Chocolove, Lyserg, Tamao, Amidamaru, Bason, Kororo, Ponchi, Conchi, Mic, and Mophine in this brand new audio-only story.
Also on Wednesday, new Shaman King T-Shirts will be appearing at various retailers in North America. This is the first officially licensed T-shirts that have been created for a North American release under the Shaman King brand! Designs and sizes may vary.
On Friday the 11th volume of the Shaman King Star Edition will be released in France. Spain was suppose to have a release this week for volume 9 of their 2-in-1 editions but that has since been delayed to an unknown date.
On Saturday another Shaman King 2022 Calendar will be released. This one is from TRY-X. Shaman King: Faust8 – The Eternal Eliza will also have another new chapter part released in Japan as well.
