This week in Shaman King is heavily focused around the start of the third season of the anime on Thursday. With this new season comes a new Opening and Ending themes for the anime. The opening theme “Get up! Shout!” will be available on streaming platforms starting at midnight in Japan with the physical CD release the following week. The new ending theme “Hazuki” will have the music video premiere later in the day on the 21st, so you’ll be able to hear the full song then too.
For prizes and rewards, the Hao figure from Banpresto will be released in Japanese arcades on Thursday as well. If you have some points as part of your membership card at Animate, you can also start redeeming them for the Drawstring Net Bag too.
On Tuesday at 21:00 in Japan there will be a Weekly Vanguard Information Bureau stream which will feature Yoh’s voice actress, Yoko Hikasa, along with new information about the upcoming Shaman King CardFight Vanguard OverDress set.
On Friday, a ton of new Shaman King merch will also be released. You can check out our Release Calendar for a reminder on what all of those are.
In terms of manga releases Italy will be getting the 14th volume of the Shaman King manga on Wednesday. On Friday, after a short delay, the Shaman King: The Super Star volume 2 will be coming out in France along with Argentina getting their 8th 2-in-1 volume of the Shaman King manga series.
For new On-Going events, the Japanese mobile game Yokai Watch: Puni Puni has started a Shaman King collaboration. This event started on the 16th and will continue until the 31st. Starting on October 22nd DMM will be holding the Shaman King Scratch Online Prize Lottery. The initial details of the prize lottery were included in our last Shaman King Product Announcement Round-up, and we’ll have more details on the event in our next round-up this weekend.
