Before we begin, we get this cool 2/3rd double-spread with Hana, Ryu, Tamao, and Amidamaru during Hana’s first day of school. A bit of foreshadowing! But back to the story this time…. we continue from where we left off, Ryuji is in the middle of his attack on Hana! And he lands his strike directly on Hana’s head! Hana tries to strike back but faints and falls down the escalator, landing in a pool of his own blood. Luka is impressed with his work. (I believe…. Dit to confirm…) She says that they are shamans, and she uses her O.S. to attack Ryuji’s friends. She also shows of Stone-Amidamaru.
During this conversation, Yohane remembers back to his childhood and the power of Luka’s spirits. From this, he feels the need to defend Hana from Luka’s attack. Of course she also turned his spirit into stone as well!
As Hana lays in his pool of blood… we are shown a flashback….
In the middle of a middle-eastern war-torn country… Anna is chasing after Yoh! A helicopter is also attacking them… and Yoh needs to use the Spirit of Earth to defend the baby Hana in Anna’s arms!
From this brief flashback Hana wakes back up! Now he’s pissed, and ready to go on the attack!

11/30 Update:

12/10 Summary!! Oh gosh this chapter’s so intense ;A;
Ok, so this is my favorite Flowers chapter so far.

First we see Hana’s first day of school and Ryuji’s attack in full color! Oh Amidamaru <3
So, Ryuji manages to break Hana’s head open and he starts bleeding heavily. Then he realizes how much he depends on Amidamaru and eventually passes out. Ryuji can’t believe how easy it was to defeat Hana, who had kicked his ass twice in the past. Luka asks Ryuji to finish him off, but he refuses to kill anybody. Yohane tries to protect Hana as well, just before Luka reproaches him for going on a date with the enemy (she actually says this lol) Ryuji’s friends say that Luka’s dangerous and she makes them shut up with her OS.
The shock kind of awakens Ryuji’s ability to see ghosts, so Luka explains to him that they’re shamans who use spirits to fight etc etc etc you know. Having revealed the secret to Hana’s strength, Luka also reveals that her family owns the mall and therefore no one’s gonna stop her from having Hana killed. Yohane didn’t know about this, and a little flashback tells us that Luka’s OS is actually formed by 3 spirits (the two dogs = legs and an unknown ghost they’ve never seen = central part) Yohane then feels that his sister’s somehow being controlled by said ghost, kind of what happened with Seyrarm and the Golem in good old Mankin. When she’s about to kill Hana, Yohane steps in and tries to destroy Luka’s OS to free her, but it turns out that Daikyoh turned into stone too when he tried to help Amidamaru!
Then the scene changes to a second flashback (Hana’s memory?) settled in a middle-East country in the middle of what looks like a riot. We see a young Yoh running and a young Anna following him with baby Hana in her arms. Someone starts a shooting, so Yoh tells Anna to step back… but it’s too late. Some bullets are going right to where they’re standing, so he tries desperately to protect his fiancée and son with the Spirit of Earth.
After seeing this, Hana wakes up in shock and ready to fight back!

12/05 Update: Covers!
So we have the covers now! First Flowers 2 with Yohane and human-ball Daikyoh, and second a REALLY cute winterly Jump Kai featuring Hana and Alumi. Nice job indeed, Takei!
Btw, did you think the Takei Festival was over? Well, it’s not! This time he’s not drawing all 3 covers, but we get a quadruple release instead! Yup, December 10 is the release date of Jump Kai, SK Flowers 2, Jumbor 5 and Ultimo 9 :3 Cool huh? Also, if you send a postcard with the 3 stamps included in the volumes, you enter in a contest to win one of these shikishis signed by Takei himself (100 copies) I’d personally love to get one ;A;
