8/22 Update:
Yup, Shaman King Flowers volume 1 is going for 2 weeks in a row. You can get the sales numbers at the newly redesigned Shaman King Nation website!
Also they updated the official JumpX website with another wallpaper! Nice!
8/17 Update:
So the sales numbers for Shaman King Flowers volume 1 are out! And those numbers are at.. 58,192 copies sold! That is the current print run for Shaman King Flowers volume 1. They’ll have another print run for about 30,000 or 40,000 copies before the end of the month. This is basically the same thing that happened last time with Shaman King Zero.
Also, for those looking for rankings… that’s the 6th most popular manga volume sold in Japan last week.

And here comes the spoilers/summery for the chapter, we got some good stuff this time!

So the chapter starts off us i the most predictable place! The hospital with Anna! Then there is a really awesome color spread, which is good since this will be the start of volume 2, so these color pages will be included!
Anyways, Hana is going alright, He acts all tough, untill Anna the III kicks his butt. With Hana knocked out again, Hana talks with Amidamaru, Ryu, and Tokahgeroh in the hospital room. But then she makes a declaration and leaves the room.
Meanwhile, Ryuji Ichihara (the Ryu-like guy from chapter 1) is still recovering in the hospital but is trying to get a drink from the vending machine. Of course it jams and he starts making a commontion. As Hana happens to walk by both of them start yelling, and ready to fight. Hana starts off with a jump kick…. but Ryu stops the fight with his face!
With Ryu’ defeat the fight stops and Hana and Ryu have a chat outside. Ryu begins with explaining what happened after the fight…
Anna the III is acting quite proud of her victory but then the Hanagumi deside to scroll out from the Inn. At the sight of the Hanagumi, Luka brings out her wand to make a quick escape with Yohane. Then Anna the III shows off that her spirits are the same as Silva’s… just in case you didn’t figure that out.
Hearing this part of the story he starts to be kinda depressed. But in Ryu’s inner monologue… he reveals who Anna the III’s mother is… Rutherfor! Oops, Rutherfor isn’t the mom… yet! Then with a trailing thought we look to Tamao…
So overall I have a good feeling about this chapter. It’s a little slow for the start of volume 2, but it has some good variety with character designs and expressions. It looks like Tamao is our next stop for chapter 6, and I look forward to reading it. Also, I’ll be working on a nice big post about all the Anna’s, how their timeline works, and some of my own thoughts. Look forward to that!

Also, just to let you know, Takei will start the chapter off with Hana in the hospital with Anna the Third being there. It’s going to happen.

So, the story starts with Hana in the hospital talking about the weird dream he has had about having a flat-chested fiancée with a weird name. Of course it wasn’t a dream, and since she hears everything Hana gets punched for it. Then she explains how Hana could survive to Yohane’s attack, and lectures Ryu and especially Amidamaru for almost letting him die. I love how she looks all cute and then her mouth’s almost dirtier than Hana’s. I can’t wait to see them curse and swear together (L) Ok, so back to the story… She has things to do, so she leaves the hospital just like that. After that, Ryu starts talking about how awesome she is and about how she can help Hana become stronger. Amidamaru’s still in shock.
The scene changes and we see Ryu II cursing about Hana defeating him so easily. Just in the middle of his ranting Hana passes by not remembering who the poor guy is. When the legendary thug Ryu they admire so much calls Hana “young master” Ryu II and his gang get shocked. Yup guys, Hana’s like a nephew to him, be jealous.
Again, the scene changes to Ryu and Hana talking in the garden of the hospital. Hana says that he doesn’t want to marry some flat-chested girl with the same name than his mother. Cute. But here comes the interesting part: the reason Tamao doesn’t allow Hana to use his powers is to protect him from the battle that’s about to come (wooo! a battle! ) A flashback starts and we see Anna explaining what’s going on, since Tamao and the Hanagumi seems to be the only ones who know about it. Ryu gets mad and claims that Hana’s too young to have a fiancée and that kind of stuff, but Anna says that it’s completely ok (is it?) because, after all, Yoh was even younger lol
So, going back to that mysterious battle… It seems that something needs to be done because Hao is pretty much slacking around instead of, you know, doing God stuff. It seems that what the branch Asakuras are up to is related to this battle as well. After Yohane and Luka run away the Hanagumi look a bit concerned about the two siblings becoming stronger and turning into dangerous enemies at some point, but Anna doesn’t give a ****.
This battle has a name, btw. In Japanese it’s called “furawaa obu meizu”, and in case you’re wondering… yeah, it’s Engrish. And believe me, Engrish is a pain to translate. I would say “Flower of May’s” but it could also be maze, mays, maize and who knows what else. Damn you katakana. Anyways, this battle seems to be about gaining power to defy the sky.
Yeah, I know. But what’s even more wtf is the fact that “Anna III” seems to be just a nickname, because she introduces herself again as Alumi Niumbirch (?). Again, Engrish. Let’s just think Silva Niumbirch (?) is like a pun on “Silver Birch”. Btw, nickname or not I think I’m gonna call her Alumi from now on, it’s much less confusing.
Hana doesn’t buy what Ryu tells him. After all Hao was the one who became God, and that’s it. Who else could possibly do something to change the world? No one lol but Ryu can’t help it but think about what Rutherfor told them back in Mu: “what if the shaman fight started in order to investigate it?” If someone started the Shaman Fight as an experiment, could that being be more powerful than the mighty Shaman King? Ryu wants to know what Tamao’s doing in Kyoto, and so do I!

Hnnngh…I have to calm down…He’s only, like 15…I am not a pedo…I am NOT ;_; He’s…like…what, 13 years my junior? [based on Takei’s horrendous timeline] Goddammit, Takei. Stop making your little boys so cute. It’s the suit honestly. I fell in love with Ren for his little suit, and yet again in KZB 300 for his suit. Really, I think I’m one of few people who would prefer to see a man in a formal suit as opposed to a birthday suit.
No, even if I obsess over Yohane, he could never override my love for Ren. That’s eternal. Figure plz. Hopefully I actually get this cover in my issue and not get screwed out of that extra like Andy says I was screwed out of some posters a couple months ago.
Just thought of this: Where the FUCK did Anna’s blonde hair and blue eyes come from? What, did Silva bang a German lady or something? I demand an explanation for this, but most likely won’t get a satisfactory one.

Just received Flowers Vol 1 today. I’m not sure if we’ve established this yet, but it looks like vol 2 will released in Feb 2013. Wooo~ I’ll have a pic in a little bit.
