While still on break for the ongoing Shaman King (2021) anime due to the Olympics, a group of announcements were made today related with the series.
Voice Case Announcements
John Denbat will be voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi (小西 克幸) who previously voiced the character in the 2001 anime. He voices Amidamaru in both versions of the anime as well.
Larch Dirac will be voiced by Kousuke Takaguchi (高口 公介), who also currently is the voice for Bason in the 2021 anime. The role of Larch was previously played by Tomohisa Asoi in the 2001 anime.
Porf Griffith will be voiced by Takumu Miyazono (宮園 拓夢), who also currently is the voice for Ponchi in the 2021 anime. The role of Porf was previously played by Takehito Koyasu in the 2001 anime who also has the role of Faust in both series.
Chris Venstar will be voiced by Tsuguo Mogami (最上 嗣生), who also currently is the voice for Hang Zang-Ching in the 2021 anime. The role of Chris was previously played by Seiji Sasaki in the 2001 anime.
Cebin Mendel will be voiced by Wataru Takagi (高木 渉) who previously voiced the character in the 2001 anime. He also voices Tokageroh in the 2021 anime as well.
Meene Montgomery will be voiced by Mariko Nagai (永井 真里子). The role of Meene was previously played by Tomoko Kawakami in the 2001 anime who passed away in 2011 due to ovarian cancer.
Unlike with some of the previous voice actor announcements, there was no additional comments by the cast for the announcements today.
Website Updates And New Key Visual
The official Shaman King (2021) anime website has recieved a graphical redesign as well. The new site also previews the third key visual which is titled “Shaman Fight Main Battle.”
Blu-Ray Box Set 1 Preview
A new updated image for the contents of the Shaman King Blu-ray Box Set 1 has also be uploaded to the official website. The image feature the Digipak case (upper left), the 3-sided box (upper right), the booklet (bottom left), the 2 Blu-Rays (center), the 2 music CDs (lower center), and the matted character image print (lower right). The first box set will contain the first 13 episodes of the series in Japanese and will release on August 25th in Japan. Additional details, including the retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses were announced in June.
2001 Music CDs Coming to Streaming
Starting on August 6th, portions of several music CDs based around the 2001 Shaman King anime series will be added to various music streaming platforms. These albums in full were available digitally for purchase but were not available on streaming services. Not all of the tracks on these CDs will be added to streaming services. Non-music tracks and voice drama tracks will be excluded. The albums that will be available are:

- Shaman King Melody of the Spirits ~ Spirit’s Search ~
- Shaman King Drama & Character Song Album Osorezan Le Voir ~ Prologue to Shaman ~

The “Shaman Fight of Vocal” (S.F.O.V) albums are not included at this time. These were produced in conjunction with the PS2 game Shaman King: Funbari Spirits, and they were still published under King Records. The albums are available for purchase from Apple Music in Japan. No word on if any of these albums will be available for streaming outside of Japan.
