Update 8/8: Viz has not announced yet that they have licensed the manga. It’s still possible that they may license it. Original article is still listed below since the CG animation will be coming out in English.
Previously known as Jehovah (ヤハべえ) the official name of Hiroyuki Takei’s new manga oneshot and CG animation will be known as Yahabe. A new video trailer of the animation that will be released for free was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, which you can see below:
There is also a 20 second version of the same trailer which you can find here.
Now where it gets interesting is that they also uploaded an “English” trailer as well. This one mutes out the Japanese voice acting and has the following description:
Coming soon to your smart phone!!
This is a 30 sec. trailer of Yahabe, the first full CG TomoToon movie. The full length version will be released in Japan first. It’ll come to your smartphone soon!
So, this is basically saying that there will also be an English version as well. It’s possible that this will also be receiving an English dub as well. The logically licensor for this title will be Viz Media (who licensed Shaman King and Ultimo). Viz is also releasing Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha, a digital version of Weekly Shonen Jump (with some Jump SQ titles). And Yahabe happens to be a Jump SQ title…
In the lastest weekly e-mail from Viz they also teased an annoucement:
Big News Coming Next Tuesday!

This announcement will most likely be that the Yahabe oneshot will be released in Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha and that the CG animation will also be released. Right now, they are about 2 weeks behind the Japanese release for English release. That would put Yahabe being released in English around August 20th.
Even if the manga isn’t licensed, the video clearly states that it will be released outside of Japan, and the notice was in English. But clearly the CG animation is a tie-in with the manga, so Viz will be releasing both.
The Yahabe manga will be released in JumpSQ on 8/4, and they have a preview of the manga (in Japanese) on the JumpSQ website (click the red circle in the bottom right hand corner). You can watch the original (smartphone version) of the trailer here. Below are some screenshots from the new trailer.
